Rituals
The Rudrabhisheka ceremony is a series of elaborate rituals performed by Vedic priests or Lord Shiva devotees. Some of the main rituals are:
- Purification: Traditional Vedic purification rituals are used to cleanse the ceremonial space, participants, and ritual materials, resulting in a sanctified environment conducive to invoking divine blessings.
- Invocation of Lord Shiva: Special prayers, hymns, and mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva as Rudra are recited to invoke his divine presence and blessing. Offerings to the deity include flowers, bilva leaves, and sacred substances.

- Rudra Sukta Chanting: During the abhishekam, Vedic chants and hymns from the Rudra Sukta, which is dedicated to Lord Rudra, are recited to invoke his blessings and calm his fierce aspect.

- Rudra Sukta Chanting: Recitation of Vedic chants and hymns dedicated to Lord Rudra in order to invoke his blessings and appease his fierce aspect.
- Conclusion: Final prayers for purification, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment, followed by priestly offerings and blessings.
